The Crescent-Iroquois Community Unit School District #249 Board of Education and administration of Crescent City Grade School have set a meeting to discuss the deactivation of the district’s junior high school. This meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Crescent City Community Center. The question will appear on the November 8th ballot. If the issue is passed, junior high students will then have the option to attend one of three receiving schools in Cissna Park, Gilman and Watseka. In the event the junior high is deactivated, Crescent City Grade School would become a K-5 institution.
