Kankakee Man Extradited Back Home to Face Murder Charges

A Kankakee man has been extradited back to Kankakee from Kentucky where was arrested by U.S. Marshals for murder in the death of Daryl T. Spears in February of last year in Kankakee.  19 year old Corneilus C. Dowdy Jr. is the second person arrested in Spears’ death.  39 year old Taneka McCoy of St Anne was also charged with the murder last month and is being held on 2 million dollars bond.  The Daily Journal reports Spears was shot in the 400 block of South Dearborn; he later died at the hospital.
