A man who was walking down a street in Jasper County while carrying a Samurai style sword was hit by a car when he unsheathed the sword and began to approach the vehicle.  Police say the driver turned around and found the man laying in a yard and said he was calling police.  That’s when 37 year old Jeremy Zamarron of Hobart got up and fled on foot.  He was later found in a nearby home, the broken sword was recovered with the tip of the sword found at the crash scene.  Deputies report Zamarron appeared to be under the influence at the time and was possibly experiencing delusions. He told police he thought he had grabbed a broom handle to chase thieves away from the home.
