Odell Man Gets 50 Years for Sex Assault of Child

An Odell, Illinois man was sentenced to 50 years in prison Thursday in Livingston County Court.  31 year old Sean Sullivan was convicted at a bench trial today of multiple child sex charges including Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a child under the age of 13.  Sullivan is also charged with Solicitation for Murder for Hire.  Prosecutors allege Sullivan tried to hire somebody to kill a third party while he was locked up at the Livingston County Jail.   It’s not clear if the two cases are related.  Sullivan has  pleaded not guilty. He goes to trial on those charges next month and could get 60 more years if convicted.
