Double Fatal Update

The Ford County Chronicle is reporting today that a woman involved in a police chase Monday night that ended with her and another woman dead in a head-on collision, was the owner of a Buckley home that was destroyed by fire a couple of hours earlier.  44-year-old Krista Woltz-Hernandez of Buckley, and the other driver, 65-year-old Julie McGowan of Rantoul both died at the scene of the crash on Rt 45 in Onarga Township.   A state fire marshal’s office arson inspector was at the home Monday night, but was unable to make a ruling on arson.  For right now its cause is still under investigation.
