Feb 16, 2023 | 4:48 PM
A Coal City man has been indicted by a Grundy County Grand Jury on Attempted Murder.  Coal city police say they were called to a home in the 100 block of South Vermillion Street on the night of January 17th where a man and a woman had been arguing.   At one point the woman says 30 year old Nathaniel Tvrz pushed open a locked bathroom door where she had gone with her two children.  She and the children claim he threatened to kill them with a butcher knife.  One of the children suffered two cuts on the hand that needed stitches trying to disarm him.  Tvrz dropped the knife when police arrived at the home and drew their weapons.  Tvrz is being held on 100,000 bond.
