Oops Moment Lands Pontiac Man in Jail

Pontiac police were called to a home in the 600 block of Payson Street Thursday afternoon for a report of a drive-by shooting.   Police in a press release say their investigation determined the single shot fired was fired inside the home and exited through an exterior wall.  The lone occupant in the home at the time was 25 year old Edward Ross.  With Ross being a convicted felon Pontiac police obtained a search warrant for the home.  That search turned up an allegedly stolen 9 mm pistol and a significant amount of ammunition.  Police believe the gun went off accidently while Ross was loading the weapon.  Ross was arrested on multiple felony offenses.
