Bond Set in Wilmington in Sundays Weapon and Domestic Battery Arrest

Bond had been set at 50,000 dollars for a Wilmington man charged with allegedly battering a woman and holding her at the point of gun.  This happened Sunday night at an apartment in the 200 block of North First Street.  At one point during the incident the Will County State’s Attorney’s office contends that 50 year old Michael Crowel fired off a round while the two were in the apartment and grabbed the woman by the shoulders and threw her to the ground.  Crowel is charged with unlawful restraint, reckless discharge of a firearm and domestic battery.
