Vacant Home Fire in Kankakee

Damage is estimated at between 30 and 40 thousand dollars from a fire that began  about 2:30 this afternoon in  a vacant, boarded up home in the 500 block of South Moore.  Kankakee Fire said when firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke and flames were coming from the rear of the home. Nobody was hurt in the blaze and that was electrical in nature.  The fire has been ruled accidental.
