Crash injures two in Newton County

Newton County Indiana Sheriff’s police report a crash Saturday evening sent two people to the hospital. According to reports, it was just after 6:30 Saturday night when a car driven by a 26-year-old Corpus Christi Texas man was southbound on  Route 41 when he tried to turn eastbound on State Road 14 at Enos, pulling into the path of a northbound SUV driven by a 47-year-old Morocco, Indiana man.  Both the male driver of the SUV and his female passenger were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the car was treated at the scene and released.
