Man Found Dead in Watseka Weekend Fire

A 54 year old man was found dead following a garage fire over the weekend in Watseka.    Kevin Kaufman had been staying in the garage of friends at a home in the 300 block of W. North Street when the fire broke out early Saturday morning. Watseka fire saying their initial investigation found the blaze to apparently be electrical in nature.  The flames from the attached garage were confined to the garage though the home did suffer some smoke damage. Damage is estimated at 40,000 dollars.  An autopsy on Kaufman is still pending.
