Gas prices are on the rise. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas has broken the four-dollar level once again state-wide. A gallon of gas is running 4.02 across the Land of Lincoln, up a dime in the past week. In the Kankakee area, Triple-A says that gallon of gas will set you back three-67, up four cents overnight and up 11 cents in the past week. Gas is averaging 3.70 in Iroquois County, 3.77 in Ford County and 3.96 in Grundy County
Across the state line in Indiana, gas is running 3.59 on average in Newton County, it’s 3.75 in Benton County and 3.80 in Jasper County. The state-wide average across the Hoosier State is 3.66 a gallon.
