Police Called for Man with Hatchet

Jasper County, Indiana Sheriffs police today say they were called to a home Sunday in rural Jasper County for a domestic dispute involving a man armed with a hatchet.  Deputies say when they arrived on the scene they were told that 20 year old Jadon B. Gratner of Rensselaer had fled to a nearby  field in a neighbor’s golf cart that he had allegedly stolen.  With a top speed of 30 miles an hour it didn’t take long for police to find and stop the golf cart but not before Gratner reportedly damaged two squad cars and the farmers corn crop. He is facing multiple charges.
