Merlin Karlock has Passed Away

The Founder of Municipal Bank in Bourbonnais has died.  Merlin Karlock passed away yesterday.  Karlock was an entrepreneur who, according to the Daily Journal, made his first million dollars by the age of 30 and went on to develop both Shamrock and Bon Vivant Golf Courses along with Greenbriar, Bon Vivant and Bourdeax Estates subdivisions.  He also championed many community endeavors, Karlock was 91 years old.
