It’s that time of year again. The time when local law enforcement agencies are collecting funds for their annual Shop with a Cop event. During last night’s Bourbonnais Village Board Meeting, Deputy Police Chief Dave Anderson told the Board the department will once again be involved in the holiday event
Anderson said the village will be taking donations for Shop with a Cop at either the Police Department or Village Hall. They’ll accept those donations until December 8th and each year the village collects somewhere between two and four-thousand-dollars toward the event.
Also during last night’s meeting it was announced registration is underway for the Village’s Holiday Homes and Holly Jolly Lighting Contest. The Village’s annual coloring contest will start November 20th and the annual tree lighting event has been scheduled for Thursday night November 30th.
