30 Covid Cases at Manteno Veterans Home

As of today, a Veterans Day remembrance is still scheduled to take place at the Manteno Veterans hospital this weekend despite a fresh outbreak of covid 19.   The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs reports 30 cases of the disease at Manteno.  19 residents have been infected along with 11 staff members.  All the cases are said to be mild and are being treated with antivirals.  There have been no hospitalizations. Visitors to the Manteno Veterans Home, though, are being advised to reschedule until the outbreak subsides.
