Lowell Fatal Fire Victim Identified

The Lake County, Indiana Coroner’s office has identified the victim of a fatal mobile home fire Tuesday night in Lowell.  An autopsy showed 67 year old Richard Leoni died from smoke inhalation and the death has been ruled an accident.  Leoni had to be pulled from the flames by firefighters. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second resident was able to escape the fire on their own.  The cause is still under investigation.
