Aqua issues boil order

A boil order has been issued for a good portion of Kankakee, Bradley and Bourbonnais. Aqua Illinois says a contractor working in the area yesterday broke a water main, causing low or no water pressure to an area from Olivet on the north to Court Street on the South. The water company says because of the drop in pressure, those in the effected area need to use either boiled or bottled water for cooking, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice. Aqua says water needs to be brought to a boil and boiled for 5 minutes, then cooled before using. They say you can call them if you have any questions.
