State Police announce special patrols

The Illinois State Police have announced they’ll conduct Nighttime Enforcement or NITE patrols tonight in Kankakee County. Troopers say the special patrols allow them to focus on preventing, detecting and taking enforcement action in response to impaired driving and occupant restraint violations. NITE patrols will run from nine tonight until six tomorrow morning. NITE patrols are funded through the State Department of Transportation.
