Two Kankakee teens shot overnight

Kankakee City Police are investigating a shooting last night that injured a pair of teens. According to reports, it was just before seven last night when officers were called to the area of South Greenwood Avenue and East River for a report of shots fired. Responding officers met with four juveniles near South Rosewood and East River, two of the teens told police they’d been shot. Reports say a 16-year-old sustained an injury to his shin, while a 14-year-old had been shot in the hand, both were taken to the hospital. Witnesses told police a dark colored vehicle was traveling north on South Greenwood near Park Place when the shooting took place.
