Chicago Man Gets Six Years for Chase in Stolen Car

A Chicago man pleaded guilty Monday in connection with a December 2023 police chase that began in Rossville and ended in Danville.  25 year old Malik Brown ran from police when they attempted to pull him over for being in possession of a stolen car.  The chase ended when Brown’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a deck and retaining wall in Danville.  Brown and the passenger fled on foot but were arrested a short time later.  After entering the guilty plea Monday, Brown was sentenced to seven years in prison followed by a year probation.
