The coroner’s office is releasing the cause of the controversial death of a DeMotte, Indiana man. Lake County authorities say Rhyker Earl died of natural causes two days after Jasper County deputies and first responders arrived at his DeMotte home on September 8th. He was handcuffed during the incident and authorities put pressure on his body as he was being restrained. The coroner says there was no evidence of trauma. Earl’s family has filed a civil rights lawsuit.
