Hunter Rescued by Wilmington Fire First Responders

The Wilmington Fire Department rescued a hunter who was hurt after falling from a tree in the dark early Monday morning at the DesPlaines Conservation area and got him to the hospital.  The department utilized a drone with infrared imaging to find the hunter and then guided emergency responders to the victim who had fallen some 10 to 15 feet. They then carried the victim a quarter of a mile through a thick wooded area to a waiting ambulance.  There’s no word on the victim’s condition.
