Manteno Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

A Manteno man is facing multiple charges today following a domestic situation that developed last night in the 900 block of North Westshore BLVD.  According to police, 30 year old Jack V. Schnell was charged with aggravated domestic battery and strangulation after a fight broke out between Schnell and his girlfriend over missing money.   When officers arrived at the home Schnell was pulling away and then refused to stop for police, hitting speeds of 40 miles an hour in a 20 zone.  Schnell eventually made his way back to the home where he jumped out without putting the vehicle in park.  It then struck a light pole.   Schnell was arrested at that point.  He is also facing drug charges after police found suspected fentanyl in his pants pocket.  He tells police before he left the home he found the money in her purse.
