Area roads reopen

Good news for you as you commute around the area today. Both Route 17 on the east side of Kankakee and St. George Road were reopened to traffic over the weekend. Route 17 had been closed for repairs of the KB&S Railroad crossing and St. George Road had been closed at the Canadian National railroad crossing for the same reason. Both were finished ahead of time and reopened over the weekend.
