Gary Felon Arrested on Weapon Charges in Cedar Lake

A Gary, Indiana man was arrested in Cedar Lake earlier this week after being pulled over for doing 56 in a 30 mile per hour zone in the 13,000 block of Morse Street.   33 year old Timothy Nance and his female passenger were both removed from the vehicle after the officer smelled and saw open marijuana in the vehicle. It was then that the woman advised police that there was a gun in the center console. That was not good news for Nance who is on parole for a prior firearm charge and a convicted felon.  Nance is facing additional weapon and drug charges
