Missing Elderly Woman Found Safe in Herscher

The Herscher Fire Department reports a happy ending to a missing persons case on Thanksgiving.  After receiving a call for a missing elderly woman suffering from dementia and temperatures in the mid 20’s the department mobilized its resources and with the help of 11 other departments from as far away as New Lenox, found the missing woman unharmed.  Herscher says on their Facebook page the search also included several Herscher residents who left their holiday celebration to assist in the search on UTV’s.  Police did not say where she was found or where she was supposed to be.
