Madigan trial resumes today

Testimony resumes today in Michael Madigan’s racketeering trial.  U.S. Rep. Nikki Budzinski took the stand yesterday, revealing that the former Illinois House Speaker was referred as “Sphinx”  by some members of JB Pritzker’s team after he was elected in 2018.  Jurors were shown an email using the nickname while referencing a job recommendation from Madigan for Pritzker’s new administration.  Prosecutors could rest their case next week.
