Unemployment Held Steady in Kankakee Last Month

November’s unemployment rate in Kankakee held steady at 5.2 percent.  Slightly lower than the 5.3 percent of November 2023 and down from the 5.4 percent jobless number for October.  The Illinois Department of Employment Security reports Danville has the highest unemployment rate in the state at 6.2 percent, Champaign the lowest at 3.9 percent.
