Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey is pushing back on comments made by Governor JB Pritzker yesterday saying he wouldn’t let federal agents engage in what he calls “unlawful activity” in the state. Sheriff Downey says the statement is another example of Pritzker’s disdain for law enforcement
Downey added the Governor is picking and choosing which laws to follow
In addition to being the Kankakee County Sheriff, Downey also sits on the executive board for the Illinois Sheriff’s Association and is soon to be named the second vice president of the organization.
