ISP release video of deadly 2022 Will County shooting

Illinois State Police are showing the public video of a 2022 deadly officer involved shooting in Will County.  Will County Sheriff’s Office deputies and SWAT responded in May 2022 to a man with a gun holding hostages at Fifth Third Bank on South Weber Road in Romeoville, IL.  The suspect, identified as George Walker from Crest Hill, released the hostages after 30 minutes, but remained barricaded in the bank.  As Walker was preparing to exit the bank, he was shot and killed.  Footage of the incident was released yesterday after a Will County Grand Jury decided they couldn’t find enough evidence to indict the SWAT Team member who fired the deadly shot
