9 Arrested in County Warrant Sweep

KAMEG Agents, along with the United States Marshals Service, Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms, the Kankakee and Manteno Police Departments, and Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a warrant sweep Thursday afternoon.  9 people wanted on outstanding warrants were taken into custody, 7 were on drug charges.  One of those arrested, 20 year old Lestat Sutherland of Pembroke Township was wanted on two counts of armed violence.  And agents say while they were looking for another subject they came into contact with 58 year old Brian Collins of Kankakee and found he was wanted on an active warrant for aiding, abetting, and possessing a stolen vehicle in Williams County, Illinois.
