Wilmington Issues Reverse 911 Call Warning this Morning

Some Channahon residents got a reverse 911 call early this morning warning about a suicidal escaped mentally ill patient, possible under the influence of drugs and in possession of at least one knife.  The Wilmington police Department says the woman had left her healthcare facility in Wilmington, in a car.  Police spotted the woman’s vehicle, but she managed to elude them. Officers ended the chase with stop sticks that sent the vehicle into a tree near Sioux and Sunset and started a small fire, but again the woman was able to get away, this time on foot when she apparently jumped from the vehicle before it struck the sticks.  Police then brought in drones to assist in a search.  The woman was found about 2:30 this morning near Galloway School.  She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
