The $9-million Hobbie Avenue reconstruction project is reportedly nearing the end of the line. The Daily Journal reports the City’s engineering department says concrete pouring for curbs and sidewalks will be starting around April 1 with asphalt work targeted for late May or early June. Delayed by underground utility updates, the revamped Hobbie Avenue will soon feature three lanes, a center turn lane, new lighting, bike paths, and two new railroad crossings.
