At today’s Iroquois County Board meeting the subject of seceding from Illinois to join with Indiana was discussed. Iroquois County Board Chairman Paul Ducat says discussions with Hoosier officials are underway.
There are no estimates available yet on how much state tax money might drop or increase in Iroquois County if the move becomes a reality. No votes have been scheduled.
