During this morning’s meeting of the Kankakee County Board’s Criminal Justice Committee, 21st Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Thomas Cunnington told the committee the courts had just been awarded a nearly 46-thousand dollar grant from the State.
Cunnington added the jury commission would also be getting funds from the grant for jury texting software
Cunnington said the grant will allow for the increase in technology without added cost to county taxpayers.
