Burn ban issued for Iroquois County

A burn ban is set to go into effect in Iroquois County at midnight tonight. Starting at midnight tonight, Iroquois County residents need to refrain from open burning and use of consumer fireworks. Fire Departments will have the authority to levy fines of 100 dollars with the fine to double for the second violation. A wind advisory does go into effect for us tomorrow afternoon with wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour expected.
