Grundy County Chase Ends with Two Arrested

In Grundy County Thursday, a chase ended with the arrests of two people from El Paso, Illinois.  Grundy County deputies pursued 43-year-old Christina Moreno’s vehicle near Gardner after she fled a Woodford County traffic stop earlier that day.  Deputies flattened a tire with stop sticks and used a PIT maneuver, but Moreno kept going, ramming an unmarked truck and a squad car, causing damage. Both were eventually taken into custody.  Moreno, on her 27th arrest, faces charges of aggravated fleeing and criminal damage, while 42-year-old Jesus Martinez, now with 20 arrests, was wanted on multiple warrants, including DUI and possession of meth.  Both are in the Grundy County Jail.
