A Coal City man faces thirteen felony charges after a Grundy County grand jury indictment. Thirty-two-year-old Joseph Van Cleave is accused of aggravated identity theft—a class two felony—six counts of identity theft, and six counts of theft over $500. Authorities say Van Cleave used another person’s debit card on several occasions to fraudulently obtain money and property worth over $300 at local businesses between January 31st and February 7th. The victim is over 60 years old.
