Will Co Sheriff’s Office warns of scam

The Will County Sheriff’s Office is warning of another scam going around. In this one, the victim gets a call from “Lieutenant Michael McRae” from the Sheriff’s office and they’re warned they’ve missed a court date and need to pay a fine to stay out of jail. Will County Sheriff’s office says the call is a scam and they’ll never call you demanding money or threatening an arrest over the phone They say if you get one of these calls you should just hang up, and you definitely shouldn’t give the caller any of your financial information.
