State Senate votes to eliminate some food additives

Illinois lawmakers are moving forward with a bill that would ban two food additives.  The measure approved by the state Senate would ban two chemicals often found in the flour of baked goods.  If passed, businesses in the state wouldn’t be allowed to distribute food products with the additives.  The bill now heads to the Illinois House.
