There was some Village business to be done, but last night’s Bourbonnais Village Board meeting was really all about outgoing Mayor Paul Schore and his 28-years of service to the Village. The Boy Scouts honored Schore for his dedication to scouting, a proclamation was read – making April 21st, Mayor Paul Schore Day in the Village and the street the Mayor has lived on for the past 40 years was even renamed “Honorary Paul Schore Avenue”. Following the meeting, Mayor Schore said he’s enjoyed his nearly 30 years of service
Mayor Schore started on the Board as Trustee Schore April 7th, 1997 and was sworn in as the Village’s 19th Mayor on May 31st, 2008 when he replaced Bob Latham who had stepped down for health reasons. The Village’s 20th Mayor, Jeff Keast will be sworn in at the meeting two weeks from now.
