Kankakee Police investigate shots fired

The City of Kankakee’s Shot Spotter technology detected shots fired in the 200 block of South Rosewood late Wednesday morning. According to reports, it was just before noon when officers were called to the area, where they found several spent shell casings. Damage was found to a nearby home, but the owner of the home couldn’t tell officers if the damage was old or new and said he said he didn’t know why someone might target his house
