Channahon Police Department and Village Hall were evacuated

The Channahon Police Department and Village Hall were evacuated yesterday after a suspicious package was delivered to the police department. According to a Facebook post from the Village of Channahon, Navajo Drive was closed from Route 6 to Liberty Drive and Elizabeth Street was closed at Navajo Drive for about two hours yesterday afternoon while the Cook County Bomb Squad investigated the package, which was found to be inert and safe.
