Two Rantoul men arrested

Two Rantoul men have been arrested for the alleged beating of an 18 year old Paxton man. The News Gazette reports 24 year old Pedro Mendoza and 26 year old Nickolas J Padilla were arrested by Paxton Police this past week and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and aggravated battery. The pair allegedly battered the 18 year old victim around 7:20 pm April 18th in the 400 block of West Orleans Street in Paxton. The victim told police he was beat by three men. Police continue to search for the third person involved.
