US 41 were closed after crash

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office reports lanes of US 41 were closed for about 2 hours yesterday after a crash. According to reports, it was just before 3:30 Thursday afternoon when deputies were called to Northbound U.S. 41, south of State Road 16, for the report of a single vehicle crash. Deputies say a dump truck driven by a 57-year-old Morocco, Indiana man lost control and flipped on its side. The driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
