Bourbonnais man arrested following alleged stabbing

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police report an arrest following a stabbing in Bourbonnais last night. According to reports, it was just after eight last night when deputies were called to the home on Little Chief Drive for a possible stabbing. When they got there, they found the alleged victim on the porch with a single stab wound to his lower abdomen. Deputies say they talked with 68-year-old Timothy Burns who allegedly said he’d stabbed the other man in the stomach after the victim allegedly attacked him. Witnesses confirmed the stabbing occurred after a physical struggle between the two. The alleged victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his wound, Burns was taken to the Jerome Combs Detention Center on a preliminary charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
