Kankakee City Police investigate possible drive-by shooting

Kankakee City Police are investigating after shots were fired in the City Wednesday afternoon. According to reports, it happened just before one yesterday afternoon in the 400 block of North East Avenue. When officers got there, they found two cars had been hit by gunfire and found several shell casings. Reports say a search warrant was executed on a house in the area and officers have been questioning a person of interest in the case. One of the cars thought to have been involved in the shooting was later found abandoned in Bradley.
