Kankakee Firefighters pull Jetski from the river

Kankakee City Fire Department personnel were called to the dam Sunday afternoon to rescue two riders of a jetski that had gone over the dam. When the got there, the pair had gotten themselves out of the water and told rescuers they were riding the jetski above the dam and since they were unfamiliar with the river, they got too close and the current swept them over. It took firefighters about an hour to get the watercraft out of the river. The riders had been wearing life jackets and were uninjured.
