Peotone Police investigate burglaries

Peotone Police are investigating after several businesses were broken into in the Village this morning. In a Facebook post, Peotone Police say officers were called to Peotone Tobacco and Liquor about five this morning and when they arrived they were notified of additional alarms at a nearby gas station and pizza joint. Peotone officials say shattered windows were also found at a gyro shop, Subway restaurant and it was later discovered an ice cream parlor had been burglarized.   It’s thought at least two different “crews” used landscaping bricks to break into the businesses, targeting cash drawers. Peotone Police along with Will County Sheriff’s Deputies and Crete Police are investigating the burglaries. They ask you call Peotone Police if you have any information about the incidents.
